In the summer of 2019 we launched an exciting new competition to commission a Sheffield based artist to create a wall work in Orchard Square Shopping Centre. It was opportunity for a new and large public art platform to be introduced, raising the profile of Sheffield within the national and international visual arts scene. Will Rea, a recent graduate and Sheffield based illustrator was chosen from a competitive field. More recent projects have been in Dudley, where locally based artist Tony McClure created a light installation in Fountain Arcade in 2021, and a project in Penrith with Carlile College in 2023.  Press coverage of this most recent project can be found here and here.
